Detect shading, soiling, open-circuit and short-circuit faults in a small PV array from voltage, current and irradiance data.
Scope
- Simulate a PV string in MATLAB/Simulink under healthy and faulty conditions.
- Validate with measurements from a small rooftop or lab array.
- Train a classifier and compare it with rule-based thresholds.
Dust (soiling) losses are significant in South Punjab, so quantifying cleaning schedules is a useful extension.
